"...it is time to be courageous."

Children's books are as basic to my life as water is to a fish. I am so in my element when I have time to sit and read one, especially to a group of children. In my line of work and ministry I am submerged in kids, a great treatment in retaining my youth. I am really glad to be able to share with you my review of another book featuring The Dragon and the Turtle. This time they go on safari and face some fears. The authors Donita K. Paul and Evangeline Denmark have once again created a adventure with an unforgettable biblical truth that we all need to be reminded of. Along with the beautiful illustrations of Vincent Nguyen, this book allows a reader to be apart of the story as we all have fears we must overcome. Fear comes at us everyday from the unknown, to the weather, the news on tv, and to turning out the lights when going to bed. We need to be reminded of the truth this book presents very vividly, "Be strong and courageous. Don't not be afraid...God goes with you; He will never leave you." Deuteronomy 31:6.

A wonderful new addition to my resources in training children to be strong in the Lord.

Just that much...

Once again, I have discovered a wonderful book to use with children's ministry.  It is entitled God Loves Me More Than That. It is written by Dandi Daley Mackall and illustrated by David Hohn. The book features one line sentences and a rhythmic beat for an easy read for short attention spans or beginning readers. The descriptive text helps a child to comprehend the size of God's love for us. The pictures are vivid, life-like and fanciful. With the components of rhythmic readability and beautiful illustrations, this book will be used in great capacity in showing children how God loves them so.

This book will also make a great baby shower gift as I love building a child's first library.
